Radiological Society of North America

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Research and Education Foundation was established by the RSNA Board of Directors in 1984 with the appointment of an independent Board of Trustees. The mission of the Foundation is, "To improve patient care by supporting research and education in radiology and related scientific disciplines through funding grants and awards to individuals and institutions that will advance radiologic research, education, and practice." The emphasis of current programs is to stimulate promising young researchers to pursue careers in radiologic research by assisting them in gaining research experience at various stages of their early careers. In 2000, the Foundation established a new program of educational grants. The Trustees continue to monitor current needs and gear the Foundation's grant programs accordingly to ensure top-quality research and education is supported in all areas of the radiologic sciences.
